Q: What is 7Up Christmas on Ice?

A: 7UP Christmas on Ice is a festive extravaganza, consisting of festive fun and

entertainment for all ages. The venue hosts Ireland's largest covered ice rink.

Other products and features include Family Fun Weekends, Disco On Ice, and School Skate Programme.

Q: How do I get there and where do I park?

Remember Skaters, we already ask you to arrive 20 mins before your session time and

if you are driving allow some extra time for parking considering the busy season(Additional 15 minutes).

Liffey Valley Shopping Centre offers free unlimited car parking for shoppers and skaters alike.

Q: When will the ice rink be open and at what times?

A: From 20th November 2009 to 10th January 2010 at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.

Ice Skating sessions running from 09.30am - 22.30pm (Sat & Sun) and 10.50am to

22.30pm (Mon- Fri).

Note the following exceptions to opening times for the holidays

24 Dec 9.30am - 18:30 pm

25 Dec Closed all day

26 Dec 12.10pm - 22.30pm

31 Dec 9.30am - 17.10pm

1 Jan 12.10pm - 22.30pm

Q: Where can I buy a ticket?

A: Tickets can be purchased on website www.7upchristmasonice.ie or by calling the Iceline on 0818 717 200. Tickets can also be purchased from Ticketmaster

Q: Can I go along and pay on the day?

A: A limited number of tickets will be on sale at the Liffey Valley Box Office from Nov 20th. However, these tickets are sold on a first come first served basis and we cannot guarantee availability. Therefore, we recommend advance bookings to avoid disappointment and to avail of discounted prices.

Q: How long do skating sessions last?

A: Each skating session lasts one hour.

Q; What if I only want to accompany my child who is skating?

A: Spectators are free of charge.

Q: How can group bookings of 10+ be made?

A: Group bookings can be made by calling 01 6613788 during office hours only, or email info@7upchristmasonice.ie.

Q: Will actual tickets be sent out?

A: Tickets that are booked through Ticketmaster will be issued and mailed 2/3 weeks

before the event. Tickets booked on www.7upchristmasonice.ie website will be mailed

for bookings made before November 1st. Reservations made after November 1st can

pick up tickets at the box office. Reservation confirmation number will be required

(this information will be sent by email after booking).

Group bookings will be issued tickets by Synergy approx 2 weeks before the event.

Tickets will only be issued on receipt of full payment. School bookings will not receive

tickets however they will receive a booking letter on receipt of confirmation, which will

include a reference number.

Q: Can booked sessions be changed?

A: No, it is not possible to transfer sessions once they are booked.

Q: Are deposits refundable?

A: Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations will lose their deposit. This policy is in

place, as it must be appreciated that labour and entertainment must be booked for

and paid for in advance.

Q: What happens if sessions are cancelled?

A: If any sessions are cancelled, ticket-holders will be accommodated at alternative

sessions.

Q: What about visitors with special needs?

A: Wheelchair access is available on-site. Please call our office on 01 6613788 before your visit, and this will enable us to accommodate you at the rink when you visit.

Q: What about the Irish weather?

A: 7UP Christmas on Ice event is undercover! So aside from high winds or storms, we will always be open for your enjoyment.

Q: I haven't skated before - what if I fall?

A: On the beginner rink a certain number of Skate aids will be available to help you

find your feet. Ice Marshals also patrol the ice to help people. In the event of an accident first-aid facilities are on-site.

Q: If I don't want to skate what can I do?

A: There is an ice-viewing area where you can enjoy the festive fun watching the thrills and spills on the rink.

Q: What about food and drink at 7UP Christmas on Ice?

A: A full range of refreshments is available in the shopping centre food court just beside the event.

A: Serviced toilets are located in the food court area inside the shopping centre.

Q: Will there be a cloakroom on site?

A: Yes. There will be a manned cloakroom on-site with a cost of €2.00 per item.

Q: Are there any clothing restrictions?

A: Gloves are highly recommended and an extra pair of socks for skaters is also a

good idea!

A: Yes. We have various options available for private hire. Enquiries should be directed

Q: Is catering available for Group bookings?

A: Not pre-booked catering, however the shopping centre foodcourt is open throughout the event.

Q: Do you cater for children's birthday parties?

A: Yes. However, unlike provious years, there will not be a food offering for 2009. You are welcome to take your cake along and calebrate in the ice café. A discount is available for birthday Party groups of 10 or more children. €10 (Mon-Thur) and €12 (Fri-Sun). Contact 01 6613788 for more information.

Q: Do you have insurance?

A: The event enforces a detailed Health & Safety Plan to ensure all safety regulations

are met whilst providing for public comfort especially during busy times. The rink

operators have public liability insurance, in the event of an injury occurring as a result

of faulty operations. However, it is important to note that the use of the ice skating

rink and all its facilities are totally at the users own risk. No responsibility is accepted

or undertaken for the well being of either the user or their property.
