What is 7up Christmas on Ice Letterkenny?
Christmas on Ice Letterkenny is a festive extravaganza, consisting of festive fun and entertainment for all ages. As well as a 600m2 ice rink, other products and features include VIP area for corporate entertainment, staff parties, and birthday parties, a school skate programme, skating Santa and Decks on Ice.

 

Where is the event taking place?
Neil T Blaney Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal

 

How do I get there and where do I park?

Access is from Neil T. Blaney Road.  A number of buses service the Polestar Roundabout stop.  Letterkenny town centre service is also available (Donegal County Council stop).  Car parking is available onsite at Neil T. Blaney Road. Remember skaters we ask you to arrive 20 mins before your session time and if you are driving allow some extra time for parking. 

 

When will the ice rink be open and at what times?
7up Christmas on Ice Letterkenny is open from 27th November 2009 to 10th January 2010 with Ice skating sessions running from 09.30am - 22.30 (Sat & Sun) and 10.50 to 22.30 (Mon- Fri).Note the following exceptions to opening times for the holidays:

24 Dec 09.30 - 13.10
25 Dec Closed all day
26 Dec 13.30 - 22.30
31 Dec 09.30 - 17.10
1 Jan 13.30 - 22.30

What is the age for a standard / adult ticket?
Adult ticket rates apply to all individuals over 12 Years of age.

 

Are there Student Discounts available?
Yes there are through the School Skate Programme and with presentation of a valid student i.d. card.

 

Do children under 1 year have to pay?
Children under 1 can enter Christmas on Ice Letterkenny free of charge.

 

Is there any Discounted Hotel Accommodation Available?

Where can I buy a ticket?
Tickets can be purchased by calling the ice line during office hours: 9am -9pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 5pm Sat & Sun.  Tickets can also be purchased at the onsite box office from 26th November or on the web www.7upchristmasonice.ie

 

Can I go along and pay on the day?
Tickets will be on sale at the Letterkenny Box office from November 26th onwards.  However, these tickets are sold on a first come first served basis and we cannot guarantee availability.  Therefore, we recommend advance bookings to avoid disappointment.

 

How long do skating sessions last?
Each skating session lasts one hour.

 

Can I buy family tickets for Ice Skating on the day at the gates?
Yes.

 

What if I only want to accompany my child who is skating?
Spectators can enter the venue free of charge.

 

How can group bookings of 10+ be made?
Group bookings are discounted by 10% and can be made by calling the ice line on 074 91 28586 or emailing ice@stormpm.com

 

Will actual tickets be sent out?
If you purchase tickets online or via the iceline, you will receive by email or by post a promotional code. You then bring this code to the box office 20mins before your chosen session and you will receive your ticket to gain entry to the venue.

Group booking confirmation will be sent out by Storm PM upon receipt of deposit / payment.

Schools do not receive tickets but do receive a letter of confirmation which will include your reference number which you bring along to the box office on the day.

 

Can booked sessions be changed?
No, it is not possible to transfer sessions once they are booked.

 

Are deposits refundable?
Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations will lose their deposit. This policy is in place, as it must be appreciated that labour and entertainment must be booked for and paid for in advance.

 

What happens if sessions are cancelled?
If any sessions are cancelled, ticket-holders will be accommodated at alternative sessions.

 

What about visitors with special needs?
Wheelchair access is available on-site and wheelchair sessions have been arranged. Contact the ice line for more information.

 

What about the Irish weather?
The Christmas on Ice Letterkenny venue is indoors.

 

I haven't skated before - what if I fall?
Ice Marshals patrol the ice to help people to their feet. In the event of an accident first-aid facilities are on-site.

 

What about toilet facilities?
Serviced toilets will be located on-site.

 

Will there be a cloakroom on site?
Yes. There will be a manned cloakroom on-site with a cost of €2.00 per item.

 

Are there any clothing restrictions?
Gloves are highly recommended and an extra pair of socks for skaters is also a good idea!

Do you have insurance?
The event enforces a detailed Health & Safety Plan to ensure all safety regulations are met whilst providing for public comfort especially during busy times. The rink operators have public liability insurance, in the event of an injury occurring as a result of faulty operations. However, it is important to note that the use of the ice skating rink and all its facilities are totally at the users own risk. No responsibility is accepted or undertaken for the well being of either the user or their property. A disclaimer applies with the purchase of each ticket.
